Allen Lazard Catches Touchdown In Regular Season Debut
Published: Sep 19, 2022 at 04:02 AM
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard caught two of three targets for 13 yards and a touchdown during the team's 27-10 victory over the Chicago Bears Sunday. Touted as the new top target for quarterback Aaron Rodger this past offseason, the fourth-year receiver was not heavily involved in his regular-season debut. However, the Packers got out to a big lead early and did not need to pass much in the second half. It was good to see Lazard find the end zone with his limited workload, and he should see an increase in target volume as he continues to heal from the ankle injury he suffered before the regular season kicked off. Rodgers will have to rely on his receivers more often next week against the stingy Tampa Bay defense, which has surrendered just 13 total points through the first two games of the season.
