49ers Expecting Holdout From Nick Bosa

Published: Jul 25, 2023 at 10:11 PM
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said that he doesn't expect All-Pro defensive end Nick Bosa to be with the team as training camp opens this week due to their ongoing contract negotiations. It sounds as though Bosa won't be on the practice field again until he has a new deal. Something should be worked out eventually with one of the best all-around players in the NFL, regardless of position, but it might be a bit before we see the 25-year-old pass-rusher on the field this summer. Bosa led the league with 18.5 sacks in 2022 while also totaling 51 tackles (41 solo), 19 tackles for loss, 48 QB hits and two forced fumbles in 16 regular-season starts. In IDP fantasy formats, Bosa is the top-ranked defensive lineman.
