Zach Wilson Will Serve As Backup In Week 15
Published: Dec 14, 2022 at 05:12 PM
New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh announced on Wednesday that second-year quarterback Zach Wilson will be the team's backup in Week 15 against the Detroit Lions, which is a promotion back to the game-day roster after he's been a healthy scratch the last three weeks. Mike White (ribs) was banged up in the Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, but he checked out alright and is expected to get another start this Sunday against the Detroit Lions at home. Veteran Joe Flacco will be the No. 3. For Wilson to be given the starting job back, White is going to have to struggle, which is something that he hasn't done yet. Saleh said the Jets' QB situation is week-to-week, so anything is possible down the stretch as Gang Green fights for a playoff spot.
