Zach Ertz To Come Off PUP List This Week

Published: Aug 15, 2023 at 02:58 AM
Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed on Monday that tight end Zach Ertz (knee) will come off the Physically Unable to Perform list this week. "He's fired up," Gannon said about Ertz. The 32-year-old veteran has been cleared for football activities, so he should return to practice at training camp at some point this week after recovering from a torn left ACL and MCL that he suffered in Week 10 in 2022. Unless he suffers a setback, Ertz should be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, but he could be eased back into the offense early in the year. Trey McBride figures to have a bigger role this year, and starting quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) may not make his 2023 debut until midseason. Ertz shouldn't be on the fantasy radar to begin the year in standard-sized leagues.
