Zach Ertz Cleared For Full Football Activity

Published: Aug 14, 2023 at 03:01 PM
Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz (knee) has been cleared for full football activity and is on track to start in Week 1, almost nine months after tearing his ACL and MCL, according to a source. The three-time Pro Bowler was on pace for 86 catches, 745 yards and eight touchdowns before injuring his knee in Week 10 last year. Despite the 32-year-old's strong season in 2022 before getting hurt, he may not be completely full speed when the regular season rolls around. Trey McBride could also earn a bigger role this year, and starting quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) may not be able to return around midseason after recovering from a torn ACL of his own. Ertz can be had for cheap in fantasy drafts this year, but it remains to be seen if he'll return to his pre-injury form.
