Travis Kelce Shaky In Monday's Defeat

Published: Nov 21, 2023 at 06:38 AM
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce led the team with seven receptions in Week 11's 21-17 home defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, collecting 44 yards and a touchdown. Kelce didn't draw his first target until midway through the second quarter for a seven-yard pickup, but he sent fantasy managers to the half happy with a four-yard touchdown late during the period. The 34-year-old had the ball punched out on a third-quarter catch, losing a fumble while the Chiefs were driving. Kelce's two missed connections were also drops, with one coming to force a fourth-down situation on K.C. on their final drive of the night. After Dov Kleiman tweeted prior to Monday's game that Kelce continues to deal with lingering pain from injuries, it's fair to wonder if the eight-time Pro Bowler is starting to slow down a bit. Kelce's alpha role in a Patrick Mahomes-led offense should still afford him positional dominance in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
