Terry McLaurin Dealing With Turf Toe

Published: Aug 22, 2023 at 03:03 PM
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) is believed to be dealing with a toe sprain on his right foot on the initial diagnosis, according to sources. Also known as turf toe, the injury from Monday night's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens is not thought to be overly serious, but McLaurin will have an MRI exam on Tuesday to determine the full extent. Depending on the results of the 27-year-old's MRI exam, he could be forced to miss the start of the regular season in a few weeks. McLaurin is Washington's unquestioned wideout with WR2 appeal in fantasy leagues, even with quarterback Sam Howell entering his first year as the starter under center in D.C. If McLaurin is forced to miss the start of the season, impressive second-year wideout Jahan Dotson would operate as the team's WR1.
