Taysom Hill Hopes To Be Used More As Pass-Catcher
Published: Jun 16, 2023 at 02:16 AM
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill said his hope and expectation is that he will see more action as a pass-catcher this year when he was asked how his role could expand in 2023. The converted quarterback was used mostly out of the backfield on designed runs last year, seeing a career-high 96 rushing attempts for 575 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 games (eight starts). Hill was targeted just 13 times as a pass-catcher and caught nine of them for 77 yards and two TDs. While the 32-year-old could be used more as a pass-catcher in 2023, most of his value will continue to come from what he can do as a rusher. He's ideally a late-round, touchdown-dependent, best-ball target for fantasy managers as a Swiss Army Knife for the Saints.
