Saquon Barkley Optimistic About Playing Sunday
Published: Oct 15, 2023 at 12:20 PM
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is "optimistic" that he will be active for Week 6 versus the Buffalo Bills, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The star running back missed the last three games with a high-ankle sprain, and although he was listed as questionable again this week, it sounds like he is trending in the right direction. The one caveat with this situation is that Barkley and the Giants play on Sunday night, leaving fantasy managers with very few replacement options in case he can't suit up. If Barkley ultimately doesn't play, Matt Breida would lead the New York backfield.
