Saints Expected To Add Running Back Kareem Hunt

The New Orleans Saints are expected to sign both free-agent running back Kareem Hunt and linebacker Anthony Barr if they are able to pass their physicals, according to sources. The Saints recently had a visit with Hunt and are expected to add him to their crowded backfield to help fill in with Alvin Kamara suspended for the first three regular season games. The expected addition of the 28-year-old is bad news for Kamara, Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller and their fantasy value in 2023. Hunt had just 123 carries for 468 yards and three scores with the Cleveland Browns in 2022. However, he could be used often in passing situations -- he has 211 career receptions for 1,806 yards and 17 TDs through the air in six seasons.
