Patrick Mahomes Wins Super Bowl MVP
Published: Feb 13, 2023 at 01:19 PM
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes won his second Super Bowl MVP award on Sunday, tossing three touchdowns in the team's 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He was 21-for-27 for 182 yards and didn't throw an interception. Mahomes who was still dealing with some of the after-effects of a high ankle sprain suffered in the team's first playoff game against the Jaguars also added six carries for 44 yards. It was a gutsy effort for Mahomes, especially after he limped off the field late in the first half after apparently re-aggravating the ankle injury. Heading into the 2023 NFL season, Mahomes should be considered a clear top five fantasy quarterback.
