Patrick Mahomes Cleared To Play In Super Bowl

Published: Feb 10, 2023 at 10:28 PM
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) practiced in full all week and was removed from the final injury report for Super Bowl LVII on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 27-year-old suffered a right high-ankle sprain in the Divisional Round against the Jacksonville Jaguars but somehow managed to suit up in the win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship, when he went 29-for-43 for 326 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Just named the NFL MVP for the second time in his career, Mahomes will now look for his second Super Bowl ring. KC's offensive playbook is expected to be bigger this weekend, but Mahomes' mobility will likely still be limited somewhat. Mahomes has proven that he can do superhuman things, but Jalen Hurts will have the higher fantasy ceiling in the Super Bowl.
