Packers, Jordan Love Agree On One-Year Extension
Published: May 02, 2023 at 03:00 PM
The Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love agreed on a one-year contract extension worth up to $22.5 million on Tuesday, according to a source. The deal includes $13.5 million fully guaranteed. The extension takes the place of a $20.3 million salary for 2024 on a fifth-year option. With Aaron Rodgers now in New York, the starting job in Green Bay is finally Love's in 2023. The 24-year-old has weapons around him in the offense, albeit on the young and inexperienced side for the receiving corps. There will surely be ups and downs for Love in his first full season as a starter in the NFL after the Packers spent a first-rounder on him in 2020. Fantasy managers should consider him a low-end QB2 with upside heading into this year.
