Nick Chubb To See More Targets This Season?

Cleveland Browns running backs coach Stump Mitchell expressed confidence in Nick Chubb's abilities as a pass-catcher. But Mitchell acknowledged Chubb never received a chance to thrive in that area, primarily with Kareem Hunt in the equation. That's not to say the 27-year-old will definitely be more involved in catching balls out of the backfield. However, the Browns have unproven options behind him, so it's logical to assume he will see an uptick in targets. Chubb has smashed the 1,000-yard rushing mark in each of the last four seasons. On the other hand, he hasn't had more than 278 receiving yards in any season. That said, Chubb's fantasy stock was already high heading into the 2023-24 campaign, but it may increase even more for those participating in PPR formats after Mitchell's recent comment.
