Mike White To Sign Two-Year Deal With Dolphins

Published: Mar 13, 2023 at 06:10 PM
Former New York Jets quarterback Mike White is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Miami Dolphins, worth up to $16 million. White has flashed upside in his eight games played for New York over the last two seasons but ultimately has thrown for just 2,145 yards, eight touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Still, he is viewed as a top-tier backup in the NFL and this gives Miami some insurance on the often-injured Tua Tagovailoa. The team just picked up Tagovailoa's fifth-year option and he'll remain the starter, but White could be worth rostering in deep Superflex or two-QB leagues. Miami has elite weapons and Tua is likely to miss a game or two in 2023.
