Mike White Ruled Out, Zach Wilson To Start Thursday
Published: Dec 20, 2022 at 05:13 PM
The New York Jets officially ruled quarterback Mike White (ribs) out for Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars to kick off Week 16 action. As a result, Zach Wilson will make his second straight start with the team's playoff hopes firmly on the line. In his first start since Week 11, Wilson went 18-for-35 for 317 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 15. There were some things that he could have done better, but all in all, it was one of the second-year signal-caller's best performances of his young career. He'll have a chance to gain more momentum in a good matchup against the Jaguars defense this week, but fantasy managers should consider him an option only in two-QB leagues. If Wilson looks good again in Week 16, the Jets could have a tough decision to make once White is healed from his rib injuries.
