Lions Optimistic Amon-Ra St. Brown Will Play In Week 6
Published: Oct 10, 2023 at 03:05 PM
The Detroit Lions are optimistic that wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) will return in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday after missing the Week 5 win over the Carolina Panthers due to an abdominal injury. "I feel pretty good about the possibility of him playing this week," head coach Dan Campbell said. St. Brown didn't practice at all last week but ran full-speed in workouts with trainers on the side. The Lions exercised caution with St. Brown last week to ensure it wouldn't become a long-term issue. He leads the team with 26 catches and 331 receiving yards and is coming off a Pro Bowl season. In his absence last week, rookie tight end Sam LaPorta went off for two touchdowns, and Josh Reynolds also scored and had a bigger role.
