Justin Herbert Practices Without Splint On Finger

Published: Nov 16, 2023 at 05:46 PM
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) took another step in his recovery from a fractured middle finger on his non-throwing hand on Wednesday, practicing without a splint for the first time since the injury in Week 4. However, he said he wasn't sure if he would play without the splint against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11. "I think, maybe, the first couple of weeks, there might have been a difference," Herbert said about playing through the injury. "But having it get better, it's kind of going back to normal." Herbert didn't look very good against the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders, but he was back to his old self in last week's loss to the Detroit Lions, throwing for 323 yards, four touchdowns and a pick. He'll be a must-start QB1 this Sunday in Green Bay.
