Justin Fields' X-Rays Come Back Negative

Published: Oct 15, 2023 at 08:42 PM
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (right hand) was unable to finish Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, but initial x-rays came back negative, according to head coach Matt Eberflus. It's good news that Fields did not suffer any sort of bone fracture, but he will undergo additional testing to pinpoint his diagnosis. As of now, it's too early to tell whether he'll be ready in time for Week 7 versus the Las Vegas Raiders. If he can't suit up, undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent would be in line to make his first NFL start.
