Josh Jacobs Expected To Report Before Week 1

Published: Aug 21, 2023 at 12:14 PM
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is expected to rejoin the team prior to their season opener against Denver, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Coach Josh McDaniels did not provide an update on the situation when asked on Sunday. The fifth-year runner did not sign a long-term deal with the Raiders during the offseason. Now, he can ink a one-year deal, akin to the one Saquon Barkley received from New York, or sign the franchise tag. The ex-Crimson Tide back is coming off of a career season of 2,053 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns. Until he arrives in the locker room, he's a risky bet near an ADP of 29.
