Joe Mixon Still A Starting Option Despite Lack Of Production

Published: Nov 04, 2022 at 04:01 AM
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon hasn't surpassed the 100-yard mark on the ground this season. While the former Sooner caught seven of his nine targets for 32 yards in Week 8 versus the Browns, he ran for only 27 yards off eight attempts. Understandably, fantasy managers have been frustrated with his lack of production in 2022-23. Through eight games last season, Mixon totaled seven touchdowns. However, he currently has three. Even worse, the 26-year-old has amassed just 3.3 yards per carry, which is as inefficient as it can get for a starting running back. At this rate, anyone would be justified in keeping Mixon on the Bench in Week 9 against the Panthers. Yet, his ceiling remains significantly higher than others at the position, so he's still worth a start.
