Jameson Williams Has Been Working With Second-Team Offense

Published: Aug 04, 2023 at 03:04 PM
Detroit Lions second-year wide receiver Jameson Williams has mostly been working with the second-team offense at training camp. With so many pass-catchers, it's probably best that Williams works with the second team for now. He's getting plenty of looks with that unit, and it allows the starters to build some continuity knowing they'll be without Williams for the first six games of the year due to suspension. The 22-year-old has worked in with the first unit at times. Williams is also set to see a ton of preseason reps after missing most of his rookie season in 2022 while recovering from an ACL tear. Williams still has plenty of upside, but he's going to miss six games and has also had issues with drops during camp.
