Jameson Williams A Shaky Flex Option In Season Debut
Published: Oct 05, 2023 at 05:37 PM
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is set to return from a suspension for violating the NFL's gambling policy in Week 5. Williams was originally suspended for six weeks, but the league changed its policy and reduced his suspension to four games. He'll face the struggling Carolina Panthers defense on Sunday, but his floor is low in his season debut. Williams hauled in just one pass for 41 yards on nine targets in six games last year as a rookie, so there's not much to go off of heading into 2023. That said, Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week. If St. Brown misses the NFC contest, Williams might be worth rolling the dice on as a boom-or-bust flex play.
