George Kittle Misses Another Practice

Published: Feb 02, 2024 at 12:57 AM
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (toe) sat out of a second straight practice on Thursday while dealing with a minor toe injury that he suffered in Sunday's NFC Championship win over the Detroit Lions. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle would be considered day-to-day for the first week of practice preparation for the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11, against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Niners are most likely just giving Kittle some extra rest this week. Even if he doesn't practice on Friday, he should return to the field next week and play in the Super Bowl. The 30-year-old disappointed in the NFC Championship, but he led all tight ends in yardage with 1,020 during the 2023 regular season and will be looking to bounce back against the Chiefs next weekend.
