Evan Engram Wants To Stay In Jacksonville

Jacksonville Jaguars impending free-agent tight end Evan Engram has interest in returning to the team next year after having a big year in 2022 while playing on a one-year deal worth $9 million. "So, hopefully, something gets done. I think it's mutual. We haven't had too many conversations yet [with Jacksonville]. But the interest is there on both sides for me to come back," Engram said. If the Jags were to use the franchise tag on Engram, he'd make $11.345 million in 2023. The 28-year-old caught a career-high 73 passes for a career-high 766 yards and four touchdowns last year and was an integral part of the offense. If Engram sticks in Jacksonville with ascending quarterback Trevor Lawrence, he'll be int he TE1 mix again in 2023.
