Durham Smythe Stays Limited Thursday

Published: Dec 22, 2023 at 06:17 AM
Miami Dolphins tight end Durham Smythe (ankle) maintained his limited practice participation for the second straight day on Thursday. It's unlikely that Smythe's ankle injury is going to keep him from being active in a big Sunday matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. The 28-year-old tight end hasn't been on the fantasy map all year, although he did have one of his better games of the year in last week's blowout win over the New York Jets, catching all four of his targets for 32 yards. It came with All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill (ankle) sitting out. Even if Hill misses a second straight game, Smythe isn't worth looking at as a TE2 streamer in deeper leagues. He has only 24 receptions all year for 226 yards and no trips to the end zone.
