Deebo Samuel Looks Poised For Bounce-Back Season

Published: Aug 02, 2023 at 11:52 PM
ESPN's Nick Wagoner writes that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel looks poised for a big bounce-back season in 2023 after he publicly lamented his play last year. Samuel put in the work in the offseason and has come back feeling faster and lighter while still maintaining his physicality. He's been making plays in the running game and down the field as a receiver this week in training camp practice. The 27-year-old was held back by injuries in 2022 and he remains a risky WR2 in fantasy, especially if the Niners continue to use him on the ground. Samuel is excellent in the open field after the catch and also has a high ceiling, but he'll be a risk-reward fantasy selection that will continue to have a ton of competition for targets among all of San Fran's offensive weapons.
