DeAndre Hopkins Indicates List Of Destinations

Published: Apr 16, 2023 at 08:11 PM
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins remains with the team despite months of trade rumblings. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler indicated nearly a month ago that the organization expects a "Christian McCaffrey package" for the Pro Bowl wideout. There was also speculation Hopkins was searching for a new deal, although he posted a Twitter message on Sunday morning denying it. While a potential move remains in the works, Hopkins responded to a question asked during a podcast interview which teams he'd like to play for in 2023-24. It's worth noting he was asked about four teams, the Patriots, Bills, Jets, and Chiefs. However, only Buffalo and Kansas City appear to be on the radar. Both are Super Bowl contenders, so it's not a surprise he'd welcome suiting up for those clubs. Nevertheless, Hopkins is due to make nearly $20 million in 2023 and almost $15 million the following season. But trading him before June 1 benefits the Cards in a fiscal sense. Stay tuned, as this situation will likely continue to develop.
