David Montgomery-Khalil Herbert Timeshare To Continue

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said the team really likes their one-two punch with running backs David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert. "We're going to continue to do that...going to continue to use both of those guys," Eberflus said. Montgomery led the backfield in Monday night's win over the New England Patriots with 15 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown on 56 percent of the snaps. He wasn't targeted through the air. Herbert, meanwhile, saw 12 carries for 62 yards and caught one of two targets for 25 yards and a TD on 41 percent of the snaps. The near-even split has worked well for both players, but the timeshare isn't exactly fantasy friendly. Montgomery should be viewed as a low-end RB2, with Herbert more of an RB3/flex in a Bears offense that hasn't been all that consistent so far in 2022.
