Daniel Jones Could Get Up To $40 Million Per Year
Published: Jan 28, 2023 at 07:09 PM
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones recently finished what was arguably the best season of his career thus far, totaling 3,913 yards, 22 touchdowns, and just five interceptions while leading the team to its first playoff appearance since 2016. Jones will enter unrestricted free agency this offseason, and reportedly could command up to $40 million per season on a new deal. The Giants are likely to pursue a long-term contract with the 25-year-old signal-caller but could choose to use the franchise tag on him for $32.5 million if an agreement is not reached. That said, Jones stated earlier this week that he loves New York and wants to remain a Giant.
