Daniel Jones Could Get Over $30 Million Per Season

Published: Feb 17, 2023 at 04:16 PM
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is going to get a significant pay raise this offseason. The rumors from around the league is that Jones could average more than $35 million per season under his new contract. That seems like an unbelievable amount to pay Jones, but the franchise tag for a quarterback is $32.4 million right now. The tag sounds like the backup plan for the Giants because they don't want that much money on their books right now. Jones is coming off a career-year where he threw for 3,205 yards, 15 touchdowns and career-low five interceptions. Despite that, it seems unlikely that the Giants would play Jones over $30 million a season, but they might be forced to if they want to keep him around.
