Clyde Edwards-Helaire Expected To See The Most Reps In Camp

Published: Jul 11, 2023 at 03:01 PM
Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who is in the final year of his rookie deal, is expected to have the most repetitions in training camp this summer at the running back position. The Chiefs are hoping Isiah Pacheco (hand, shoulder) will be available in the middle of camp, while Jerick McKinnon will have the same role as the All-Pro-level third-down back. Edwards-Helaire, a former first-rounder in 2020, has been a massive bust so far and played in only 10 games due to injury for the second straight season in 2022. The 24-year-old is small and slow and is unlikely to see much of a role with KC again in 2023 unless Pacheco or McKinnon miss time with injury. Edwards-Helaire's best path to fantasy relevance at this point might be a trade out of KC.
