C.J. Stroud Leads Team To Field Goal In Preseason Action

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 7-of-12 passes in Saturday's 28-3 preseason loss to the Miami Dolphins. Stroud had five straight completions on Houston's first-half scoring drive, connecting with Noah Brown on a 14-yard pass play that helped lead the team to a field goal. The rookie looked much more poised in his second preseason game and continues to work with the first team in practices. Stroud was named the Week 1 starter and will have one more chance to establish himself in the preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints next week. The No. 2 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has a ton of upside and is considered a borderline QB2 heading into fantasy drafts, making him a solid option in superflex league formats.
