Christian Watson Doubtful For Week 17

Published: Dec 29, 2023 at 07:50 PM
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is doubtful to play on Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings to close out Week 17 action. Watson was trending this way after missing practice on Wednesday and Friday. It looks like the 24-year-old will miss his fourth straight game this weekend after injuring his hamstring at the end of the Week 13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Rookies Jayden Reed (toe) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are also in danger of sitting out against Minnesota, which would leave the Packers dangerously thin at wideout with Romeo Doubs in line to handle as many targets as he can. In the event that Watson, Reed and Wicks are all out, rookie Malik Heath and Samori Toure would round out three-receiver sets for Green Bay.
