Bengals Exercise Joe Burrow’s Fifth-Year Option

The Cincinnati Bengals picked up superstar quarterback Joe Burrow's fifth-year option on Tuesday. The 26-year-old will make approximately $30 million in 2024 with the move. The formality keeps the Pro Bowler under team control until at least that season before Burrow enters unrestricted free agency in 2025. It's possible that Cincinnati doesn't let their franchise cornerstone get to that point, as the Bengals could get down to business and reach a long-term extension with Burrow as soon as this summer. The former No. 1 overall pick finished fourth in MVP voting in 2022. With a great cast of weapons around him, Burrow could be one of the first five quarterbacks off of draft boards in many upcoming fantasy leagues.
