Bailey Zappe Efficient In Preseason Opener

New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe completed 12-of-14 passes for 79 yards in Thursday's 20-9 preseason loss to the Houston Texans. Zappe drew the start for New England as the Patriots gave quarterback Mac Jones the night off. The 24-year-old played the entire first half but could only lead the offense to three points. Zappe was efficient on Thursday but averaged just 5.6 yards per attempt. Most of his passing yards came from a 27-yard completion to Tyquan Thornton late in the first quarter. Zappe is New England's backup quarterback and would only be fantasy relevant if Jones were to miss any time.
