Aaron Rodgers' Return Isn't Packers' Top Option
Published: Mar 11, 2023 at 05:05 AM
It's sounding more like the Green Bay Packers are ready to move on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love. President Mark Murphy isn't ruling out Rodgers' return, but he apparently isn't the organization's first choice in 2023. "I mean unless, if things don't work out the way we would want them, yeah," Murphy said when asked if there's a scenario in which Rodgers could return. "He's obviously a great player and four-time MVP, but I think it's trying to find what he wants and what we want, and hopefully we can find a win-win situation." The Packers gave Rodgers permission to speak with the New York Jets earlier this week to "help Aaron achieve what he wanted as well as the Packers, and hopefully create a situation where it's kind of a win for both sides." It's sounding more like Rodgers won't be in Green Bay in 2023, but stay tuned. We should have a resolution soon.
