Aaron Rodgers Expected To Make Decision By Free Agency

Published: Feb 10, 2023 at 05:01 PM
Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy said on Thursday night that the team is hoping/expecting that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will make his decision on his playing future by the opening of free agency in the beginning of March. "There hasn't been a deadline. The sooner the decision is made, the better. General manager Brian Gutekunst has been in contact with him. Aaron has expressed that he doesn't want to drag it," Murphy said. Rodgers is planning to go on a darkness retreat to help him with his decision on whether he wants to continue playing in 2023. If he does return, there's a good chance he'll be traded, which would free up $60 million in salary cap space while allowing Jordan Love to take over the team. Stay tuned.
