Aaron Rodgers An Option For The Postseason?

Published: Sep 16, 2023 at 03:05 PM
The New York Jets have said that quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) is out for the 2023 season after tearing his left Achilles in the Week 1 win over the Buffalo Bills, but Rodgers left the door open on the Pat McAfee Show for a long-shot playoff return. "Anything's possible," Rodgers said. The Jets would first need to make the playoffs with Zach Wilson now their starting QB, which could be a long shot in itself. The 39-year-old Rodgers didn't even complete a pass before his season ended in his first game with the Jets on Monday night. All indications are that Rodgers plans to return in 2024, but he faces a grueling rehab in front of him and will be 40 years old coming off a major injury next year, so the deck will surely be stacked against him.
