Aaron Jones Officially Inactive On Monday Night
Published: Dec 12, 2023 at 12:09 AM
As expected, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (knee) is inactive for the Monday night contest against the New York Giants after being listed as questionable to play on the final Week 14 injury report. Jones returned to practice this past week following an MCL sprain in Week 11 that caused him to miss Weeks 12 and 13, but it couldn't keep him from sitting out of his third straight game. He should have a pretty good shot to return in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, barring any setbacks. With Jones out again, AJ Dillon will operate as the clear leader of Green Bay's backfield in an excellent matchup against a soft Giants run defense. The last two weeks with Jones sidelined, Dillon has seen 32 rushing attempts for 116 yards (3.63 yards per carry) while catching all four of his targets for 52 yards. He hasn't been great, but the volume increase gives him RB2 upside in fantasy.
